TDI Intro to Tech
Description
The TDI Intro to Tech course is designed as an introduction to technical diving and lays the foundation for all other technical diving courses. The aim is to familiarize the participant with the technical diving equipment and to learn and improve the diving skills such as buoyancy control and fin striking techniques. In addition, the topics situation awareness, dive and gas planning as well as emergency procedures are treated.
Course content:
The course contents include among others:
- Equipment - Selection and Configuration
- Dive and gas planning
- situational awareness
- Trim / Taring
- fin techniques
- START procedure
- S drill
- V-Drill
Spa structure:
- 6-8h Theory
- 4 open water dives within the no decompression time limits
Prerequisites:
- at least 18 years old (15 years with permission of parents)
- Open Water Scuba Diver or comparable
- at least 25 dives
- Medical certificate of suitability for diving
- ideally a dry suit is available
