The problem with stainless steel...
Quality grades V1 and V2 are not suitable for use in salt water. Also screw and nut should be made of the same stainless steel so that there is no corrosion (galvanic element). Otherwise the screw / threaded rod and nut will "seize" (especially when immersed in salt water). Depending on the supplier, however, stainless steel of quality V1, V2 or V4 is sometimes mixed. Therefore Delrin knurled nuts have proven themselves perfectly.
